Snow Capped Forests in 6 Styles
Seein Green!
Glass in 6 Styles
Alas, not a foray to my favorite Chinese restaurant, but an exploration into what could be done with a similar color theme. I came across a color labeled forest green on a glass ordering website, which immediately had me thinking of snowcapped evergreen trees. So I ordered a small bag, combined it with some white and tried out a few pieces....
Shown here are two styles of ring holders, large bowl, tumbler, as well as a heart and egg paperweight. The heart came out a little scrunched and the open ring holder had some extra folds in the glass, but otherwise was pretty happy with how the pieces came out. Not shown here is a larger blown ornament and vase I had done for the Gallery of Gifts in Newport NH which came out beautifully (the store is open through the 22nd of December with fine crafts available from all over the region!).
Here's a close up view on the bowl which has minor challenge with the punty rod coming off but otherwise formed beautifully...
and, not only was I able to make one tumbler, but made four of them, available as a set on my website.
There's also a some new ring holders posted to my site as well as a number of new rondels for stained glass artists - check em out when you get the chance!
If you see something you like, make sure to purchase before next Friday 11/22 as I'll be taking a number of items down to the Manchester Craft Market.
Many thanks for all of your support! May all your travels this month be safe ones.
Be well,
Peter
